Goodwill’s Wired Up Program
Wired Up is a program by Goodwill that refurbishes and cleans computers and computer components for sale in Goodwill stores. You can shop our Wired Up micro-store at the North Olmsted Goodwill location or shop specialty marked Wired Up products at many of our other locations. Ask a team member about Wired Up at your Goodwill.
Why Shop Wired Up
Recycle & Reuse
Wired Up diverts thousands of cords, cables, computers, metal, and other technological materials from area landfills. At the same time, Wired Up offers a low-cost option for desktop computers, laptops, and other accessories to customers in the Cleveland and Canton metropolitan area.
Support Goodwill Mission
The income from this program directly supports Goodwill’s mission service programs. Including job skills training, family strengthening services, COMPASS Rape Crisis, Table of Hope, and much more.
Safely Refurbished
Wired Up safely removes any data from donated computers. This provides individuals with a free method of disposing of any unwanted computer materials. All computers go to a centralized area to be erased with 1 pass of zeros written to each drive. Flash memory devices are returned to a factory state.
Donate Your Gently Used Computers and Computer Equipment
Wired Up is a safe and eco-friendly way to retire computers and equipment when you’re ready to upgrade to the latest model. You can feel confident about safely donating to Goodwill, as each computer hard drive goes through an overwrite process to remove any previous data so it cannot be retrieved.
We are seeking donations of computer or gaming consoles and associated equipment. Visit any of our retail Goodwill locations or Attended Donation Centers to donate. If you would like to learn more about our Wired Up program, please reach out to us directly. This program has been successful thanks to our generous donors.
